RNIB petition on tactile paving at rail stations: let your MP know your concerns

Following the tragic death of a partially sighted man who fell off a train platform with no tactile paving to indicate the edge, RNIB launched a petition calling for railway stations to be made safe for blind and partially sighted people. This was signed by almost 16,000 people and delivered to Network Rail and the Department of Transport. An Early Day Motion is now being presented in Parliament asking the Government to make sure that tactile paving is installed across all stations by 2025 at the latest.

The EDM is more likely to be successful if MPs are aware of public support for it, so RNIB is asking their supporters to write to their MP to let them know the importance of the issue. You can do this using a form on the RNIB website.
