Advice on making Covid-safe theatres accessible as lockdown eases

As theatres start to re-open, VocalEyes wants to ensure that, in addition to being Covid-safe, they are also accessible to people with sight loss. The charity has joined with The Audio Description Association and Mind's Eye to produce some guides for theatre staff on how they can enable blind and partially sighted people to attend touch tours and audio-described performances without exposing themselves, their companions, theatre and production staff to any additional risks.

The documents are risk assessment forms for venues and freelance audio describers, and advice on how to run a Covid-safe Touch Tour. You can find out more and read the documents on the VocalEyes website.
