Global Access Awareness Day
For Global Access Awareness Day (GAAD) on 20th May, both Guide Dogs and RNIB announced new services, and other disability organisations offered their thoughts.
The Guide Dogs organisation has teamed up with a video relay partner to help them support deaf people and people with combined sight and hearing loss, who will now be able to communicate with Guide Dogs using British Sign Language. To find out more, click here.
RNIB has joined with The Guardian and Google to launch an experimental storytelling website called Auditorial, created to showcase the possibilities of accessible stories for blind and low-vision audiences. To find out more, click here.
Disability Wales published their thoughts on What needs to change?.
