Research raises possibility that sight loss could be reversed
Research carried out on mice by University College London has shown the ability to reverse sight loss, as light-sensing cells have been successfully transplanted into the retina for the first time.
Although there is much more work to do before the technique could be trialled on humans, the news has been welcomed by The Macular Society. You can find out more on their website.
