New Alexa function connects to RNIB Helpline

A new function has been launched on Amazon’s Alexa-enabled devices to help connect people with sight loss to the RNIB Helpline. Developed in partnership with the RNIB, the new feature allows people with sight loss to give the voice command of ‘Alexa, call RNIB Helpline’ to be connected directly to the service.

The Helpline can provide information and advice on many aspects of living with sight loss. You can find out more on RNIB's website.

Alexa users may also be interested to know that Henshaws has produced a useful list of simple commands that can be used with the app to make life easier for people with sight loss. You can read the list here.
