Bank of England announces new accessible £50 banknote

The new £50 bank note will be introduced in June, and will include a tactile feature. As with the £5, £10 and £20 notes, the Bank of England worked with RNIB to ensure that the new note is accessible for vision impaired people.

On the front of the note (the side with raised print), there are four clusters of raised dots in the top left hand corner, to help blind and partially sighted people identify the value of the note. It is also slightly larger than the smaller denomination notes. For more information, visit the RNIB website.
