Diabetic Eye Screening during the Welsh Coronavirus 'Firebreak'

Public Health Wales has confirmed that the Diabetic Eye Screening programme will continue to operate during the coronavirus 'Firebreak' in Wales, and that attending a pre-booked screening appointment is a permitted reason for travelling in that period (from 6 pm on 23rd October to 00.01 am on 9th November). However, you should not travel if you have symptoms of coronavirus, have tested positive, or have been advised to quarantine or self-isolate.

For more information on Diabetic Eye Screening during the pandemic, visit the Public Health Wales website. Diabetes UK Cymru also has a general update for people with the condition which you can read here.

The Welsh Government's Frequently Asked Questions about the Firebreak are on their website.
