'Living Paintings' featured on TV
Viewers of BBC1's The One Show on 2nd September were able to see how the 'touch to see' books produced by Living Paintings help children with sight loss. The charity was one of a number of organisations that benefitted from the BBC's Big Night In appeal to help charities affected by the coronavirus crisis.
The Touch to See books contain raised tactile images accompanied by atmospheric audio guides. They publish titles suitable for anyone from pre-school to adult. The postal and online library is completely free, and all books are dispatched 'Articles for the Blind' through Royal Mail.
You can see the item in The One Show here (around 12 minutes from the start), and read how 7 year old Lucas, who was filmed for the show, has been helped by the books on the Living Paintings website.
