LEGO Braille Bricks website launched
There is now a website for LEGO Braille Bricks, containing information about them and a wide range of suggested activities that children can carry out using the bricks.
The bricks, which were developed in association with New College Worcester, enable children with sight loss to learn braille while playing. LEGO Braille Bricks are moulded with the same number of studs used for individual letters and numbers in the Braille alphabet, while remaining fully compatible with the existing LEGO System. Each brick will also feature a printed letter or character.
The LEGO Braille Bricks toolkits will be distributed free of charge to select institutions, schools and services catering to the education of blind and visually impaired children. Within the UK, they must be ordered via RNIB. You can visit the Lego Braille Bricks website here.
