World Glaucoma Week: 8th -14th March

For World Glaucoma Week 2020, the International Glaucoma Association (IGA) raised awareness of the availability of free eye tests. This follows the results of a survey of IGA members, which showed that for over 65% of respondents, their glaucoma was detected at a free NHS sight test.

For information about the campaign, visit the IGA website.

The IGA provides a range of information and support groups for people affected by the condition. It also runs Sightline, a telephone helpline, the number is 01233 64 81 70.

In Wales, eye tests are free for people aged 16 years and under, full time students aged 16,17 or 18, and those aged over 60. For full details of eligibility and other information on eye care services, visit the Eye Care Wales website.
