SENCOM service - Meetings for parents across South East Wales

Parents of children who use the SENCOM services (formerly known as the Gwent Visual Impairment Service) are invited to consultation meetings with an independent consultant, Mark Geraghty.

The meetings will be held across Blaenau Gwent, Caerphilly, Newport, Monmouthshire and Torfaen in the week commencing Monday, 11th November, 2019. There will be daytime and evening meetings.

The service supports children and young people who have communication difficulties, and hearing or vision impairment.

If you are interested in attending, please select the venue/time that's most convenient for you from the list below. You may attend any of the meetings, regardless of which local authority you live in.

Mark Geraghty will also be visiting a number of schools across the five local authorities, in the coming weeks, to speak with children and young people who receive input from the SENCOM teams.

An online questionnaire is also available to complete at: Survey

We encourage you to take advantage of any of these opportunities and help shape the future of this specialist support service in the South East Wales region. All parents should also receive a letter from their children's schools in the next week or so.
