Audio Described Tour at the National Museum Cardiff on 29th August

The National Museum Cardiff provides regular guided audio described tours of their collections. The tours are on a different theme each time and most will include touch elements. Tours are FREE, but booking is essential. The next tour is on Thursday 29th August from 11 am to 1 pm.

This time, the tour is a chance to explore sculpture by David Nash in the Museum's special summer exhibition, 'Sculpture Through the Seasons'. The exhibition features key sculptures from the late 1960s to the present day, exploring the different ways the artist has cut, carved and manipulated wood to produce sculptures that sit between the abstract and figurative. The tour will include tactile opportunities.

This tour is for visitors who are blind or partially sighted, and a sighted companion is welcome to accompany you on the tour. The Museum can offer a limited amount of guided assistance. Please let them know when you book if you require this. Guide Dog puppy walkers are welcome too! This tour can be provided in English or in Welsh. Please advise your language preference when you book.

To make a booking, please ring (029) 2057 3240. For more information about the exhibition, visit the Museum website.
