'It Makes Sense' - November is Sensory Loss Awareness Month in NHS Wales

Once again, November is Sensory Loss Awareness Month in NHS Wales. The aim of the campaign is make staff working in the NHS Wales workforce aware of the different communication and information needs of people with sensory loss. It also aims to encourage patients to make healthcare staff aware of their different communication and information needs.

The rights to accessible information are defined in the Welsh Government's 'All Wales Standards for communication and information for people with sensory loss' which were published in 2013 and describe the standards of service delivery that people with sensory loss should expect when they access healthcare.
