Cardiff University School of Optometry wins prestigious award for work on vision and Downs syndrome

Congratulations to Cardiff University’s Down’s Syndrome Vision Research Unit, which has been awarded the UK’s most prestigious academic award – a Queen’s Anniversary Prize – for its pioneering research and treatment of vision problems in children with Down’s syndrome.

The Unit, led by Dr Maggie Woodhouse, has identified the benefits of prescribing bi-focals to improve the vision of children with Downs. To find out more, visit Cardiff University's website.
