‘It makes sense’ – November is Sensory Loss Awareness Month

The ‘It Makes Sense’ campaign aims to raise awareness of the different communication and information needs of the 600,000 people in Wales living with sensory loss. The key messages of the campaign are aimed at the NHS Wales Workforce and also, to remind patients of their rights to accessible communication and information when they need healthcare.

The event will also serve as an opportunity to introduce the new Accessible Information Standard which will require general practices to capture, record, flag and share the communication and information needs of patients with sensory loss.
