Report highlights the additional costs which vision impaired pensioners face

A new report from the Thomas Pocklington Trust has reviewed the additional costs faced by pensioners who are severely sight impaired - and concluded that their daily living costs are a shocking 73% higher than those of sighted people.

'Sight Loss and Minimum Income Standards – the additional costs of severity and age' found that the additional costs included regular help in the home, transport (such as taxis), and social and leisure costs. You can find out more, and read a summary of the report findings and the full report on the Pocklington website.
