RNIB updates the Sight Loss Data Tool
RNIB has released a new version of its Sight Loss Data Tool, which provides information about blind and partially sighted people and those at risk of sight loss at a local level throughout the UK. The information will be of interest to any organisations responsible for planning services for vision impaired people.
The information includes data for Wales, with a breakdown to Local Authority level. Statistics covered include numbers of people registered as blind and as partially sighted in 2014 broken down into age groups; estimates of people affected by major eye conditions such as glaucoma, and projections to the year 2030.
